Can I keep regular coffee and decaf ready at the same time?
Yes. Rivelia includes two removable 250 g hoppers. Keep a different coffee in each and use Bean Switch when you want to change. The hoppers are interchangeable — they do not both feed the grinder simultaneously.
Can the Rivelia make strong coffee?
Yes. You can raise the aroma/intensity, reduce programmed water volume, adjust the grinder finer one step at a time, or add an Extra Shot. If you mainly drink very large, extremely intense coffees, a higher-dose machine such as the Magnifica Plus may suit you better.
Can it make iced coffee?
Yes. Rivelia offers dedicated iced coffee recipes such as Iced Coffee, Iced Espresso and Iced Americano. The optional LatteCrema Cool carafe is for automatic cold milk recipes such as Cold Cappuccino and Cold Latte Macchiato.
Will it fit under my kitchen cabinets?
The machine is approximately 24.5 cm wide × 43 cm deep × 38.5 cm high. It is narrow, but the touchscreen and removable hopper are accessed from the top, so leave comfortable vertical clearance.
Can I use oat, almond or soy milk?
Yes. LatteCrema works with dairy milk and many plant-based alternatives. Use milk cold from the refrigerator; barista-style plant milks often produce the most stable foam.

1. What makes the De’Longhi Rivelia different from other automatic espresso machines?
Rivelia combines a compact footprint with the Bean Switch System: two interchangeable 250 g bean hoppers let you keep two coffees ready — for example regular and decaf — and swap between them. It also includes LatteCrema Hot, a 3.5-inch colour touchscreen, four user profiles and guided drink personalization.
2. Rivelia vs. Magnifica Plus: which one should I choose?
Choose Rivelia for its smaller footprint, interchangeable bean hoppers and optional LatteCrema Cool system. Magnifica Plus is a strong alternative if maximum coffee dose and larger or stronger double beverages matter more to you.
3. Does the Rivelia really have two bean hoppers?
Yes, but they are interchangeable rather than simultaneous. Rivelia comes with two removable 250 g hoppers; one is installed on the machine while the other can hold a second coffee.
4. Can I easily switch between regular and decaf coffee?
Yes. Keep regular beans in one hopper and decaf in the other. Bean Switch guides you through using the remaining beans in the grinder or grinding and emptying them before installing the second hopper, minimizing mixing.
5. What does the Rivelia’s approximately 12 g maximum coffee dose mean?
Rivelia’s maximum measured dose is roughly in the 12 g range depending on recipe and settings. That is well suited to espresso and milk drinks, but someone who prefers very large, extremely intense coffees may prefer a machine capable of a larger dose. Rivelia also offers adjustable intensity, drink volume and Extra Shot.
6. How can I make a stronger coffee or Americano?
Increase aroma/intensity and reduce the programmed water volume. If needed, move the grinder one step finer while it is actually grinding and give the machine a few coffees before evaluating the change. Extra Shot adds an additional espresso shot to the selected beverage.
7. What drinks can the Rivelia make?
Rivelia prepares espresso, 2X Espresso, Espresso Lungo, Coffee, Long, Americano, hot water and automatic milk drinks such as Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, Flat White, Cortado and Caffelatte. It also offers Iced Coffee, Iced Espresso and Iced Americano. Optional LatteCrema Cool adds six automatic cold milk drinks.
8. Can the Rivelia make iced coffee or Cold Brew?
It can make dedicated iced coffee recipes including Iced Coffee, Iced Espresso and Iced Americano. It does not make true slow-extracted Cold Brew. For iced espresso and cold milk drinks, however, it is very capable — especially with optional LatteCrema Cool.
9. Is LatteCrema Cool included?
The standard Rivelia includes LatteCrema Hot. LatteCrema Cool is an optional upgrade. Once connected, the machine recognizes it and unlocks the additional cold milk recipes.
10. What drinks does the LatteCrema Cool Upgrade Set add?
It unlocks Cold Cappuccino, Cold Flat White, Cold Latte Macchiato, Cold Caffelatte, Cold Cappuccino Mix and Cold Milk. The complete upgrade set also includes four double-wall thermal glasses and a recipe book.
11. Can I use oat, almond or soy milk?
Yes. LatteCrema can froth dairy milk and plant-based alternatives such as oat, soy and almond. Use cold milk straight from the refrigerator; results vary by brand, and barista-style plant milk can give more stable foam.
12. Can I keep the milk carafe in the refrigerator?
Yes. De’Longhi recommends keeping LatteCrema Hot refrigerated for no more than two days before fully cleaning it. For the optional LatteCrema Cool carafe, the recommendation is no more than one day.
13. Why isn’t my Rivelia frothing milk properly?
Make sure the milk is cold and the carafe is correctly assembled. If performance changes, thoroughly clean the lid, milk tube, connector and removable components. Plant milks vary considerably, so trying another cold milk is also useful before assuming the machine is defective.
14. How do I clean the LatteCrema carafe?
Run the CLEAN cycle after milk drinks, and periodically disassemble the carafe for deeper cleaning. De’Longhi states that the Rivelia milk-carafe components are dishwasher-safe.
15. Will the Rivelia fit underneath my kitchen cabinets?
Rivelia is approximately 24.5 cm wide × 43 cm deep × 38.5 cm high. Its footprint is narrow, but the touchscreen and removable hopper are accessed from the top, so leave enough vertical room for comfortable use.
16. Is the Rivelia quiet?
It is relatively discreet for a fully automatic machine but not silent. You will hear the grinder, pump and internal mechanisms. A sudden new grinding, scraping or unusually loud mechanical noise should be investigated.
17. Can I use pre-ground coffee?
Yes. Select the pre-ground function first and use one measuring scoop for a single preparation. Do not add multiple scoops to try to create a stronger drink.
18. How many user profiles does the Rivelia have?
Rivelia supports four user profiles, allowing each person to keep preferred drink settings separate. CoffeeRoutine can also tailor recommendations to different times of day.
19. What is CoffeeRoutine?
CoffeeRoutine remembers which personalized beverages you tend to prefer at different periods of the day and reorganizes recommendations accordingly. It works separately for each profile and can be turned off.
20. How do I adjust the grinder?
A finer setting generally slows extraction and can intensify the cup; a coarser setting speeds it up. Adjust only while the grinder is operating, change one step at a time, and allow several preparations before judging the result.
21. Why does it ask me to empty the grounds container when it isn’t full?
This can be normal. The container holds roughly 10 coffee pucks, but Rivelia can also request emptying every 72 hours for hygiene, and some recipes requiring additional grinding can trigger the warning earlier.
22. How often should I clean the brew group or infuser?
Clean the removable brew group regularly. Switch the machine off, remove the group according to the machine instructions, rinse with water, let it drain and reinstall it. Regular cleaning helps prevent residue buildup and can reduce extraction or noise issues.
23. How often does the Rivelia need descaling?
There is no single fixed interval because it depends on water hardness and usage. Set the correct water hardness during setup and descale when the machine prompts you.
24. What is the warranty in Canada?
De’Longhi Canada lists a two-year manufacturer warranty for fully automatic espresso machines. Product registration can add an additional year, subject to De’Longhi’s terms and exclusions. Keep your proof of purchase.
25. What comes in the box?

La machine fonctionne très bien, nous sommes seulement déçu par le fait que le prix proposé par Boris était de 1299$ lors de la première visite et celui qu'on a obtenu lors de l'achat était 1,399$, on aurait du attendre que Boris revienne a la boutique pour compléter notre achat.
J'apprécie beaucoup ma nouvelle Delonghi ; elle s'est avérée être une excellente solution simple pour préparer mes délicieux cafés du matin et mes décaféinés de l'après-midi, d'autant plus qu'elle fait mousser de manière remarquable la boisson à l'avoine. Je la recommande vivement.

Première achat d'une machine a grain (transition d'une nespresso). Réponse a mes questions rapide et livraison aussi!!! On m'a conseiller cette machine car je voulais passer facilement au du café régulier au décaf. (matin/soir). Par contre chaque changement (on doit changer de réservoir de grain) gaspille du grain car elle doit faire un cycle et jeté la dernière mouture.... Mise a part se détail j'aime ma machine. La prise en main est facile et je fonctionnement est intuitif. La machine de dicte exactement les étapes a faire pour réaliser des boissons délectable :-D Merci

Nous avons cette machine depuis deux semaines. A ce jour, nous sommes tres satisfaits de son rendement. Les expressos et les cafes lactés sont a notre gout et la possibilite d'ajuster l'intensite et la quantité sont des avantages non negligeables. De plus, le bruit du moulin est acceptable. Le nettoyage de la machine est plus aisé qu'anticipé. Nous ne regrettons pas notre achat.
