Who should choose the Magnifica Evo?
Choose it if: you want automatic cappuccino/latte drinks, simple controls and De’Longhi espresso without paying for a large touchscreen or a huge drink menu.
Choose Magnifica Plus if: you want more recipes, more customization and a colour touchscreen. Choose the Magnifica Evo Manual Frother if you prefer to texture milk yourself and want the lower-priced version.

Why did my milk frother suddenly stop making good foam?
First use cold milk and thoroughly clean the carafe lid, tube, connector and removable parts. Dried milk residue is a common cause. Plant milks can also change performance from one brand or formulation to another.
Can I use oat or almond milk?
Yes. For the most reliable foam, use the milk cold; barista-style plant milks usually perform more consistently.
What grinder setting should I start with?
Start around the middle of the 13-setting range and adjust only one step at a time while the grinder is operating. Different beans require different settings.
What does “water circuit is out of water” mean?
Make sure the water tank is full and seated correctly, then follow the machine’s priming/hot-water prompt. If the circuit will not prime after normal troubleshooting, it may require De’Longhi support rather than repeated attempts.
Will it remind me to clean the brew group?
Do not wait for a dedicated reminder. Remove and rinse the brew group regularly; frequent users should check it about weekly.

Evo is simpler and less expensive; Plus adds a larger recipe menu, colour touchscreen and more customization.
2. Can I customize coffee strength and volume?
Yes. Coffee settings can be adjusted, and My Latte helps personalize milk-based drinks.
3. Can the milk carafe go in the refrigerator?
Yes. Remove it after use, run its cleaning cycle and refrigerate it. Periodically disassemble it for deeper cleaning.
4. Can I use pre-ground coffee?
Yes, for occasional single preparations using the pre-ground function and the quantity specified by De’Longhi.
5. How often should I descale?
Follow the machine’s prompt; frequency depends on water hardness and usage. Set the correct water hardness and use compatible EcoDecalk descaler.
6. What beans work best?
Fresh medium or medium-dark espresso beans are a safe starting point. Extremely oily beans can create more residue in automatic grinders.
7. What maintenance products are useful?
EcoDecalk and the compatible water filter are the main consumables. Regular water rinsing of the removable brew group and proper milk-carafe cleaning matter just as much.
8. What is the Canadian warranty?
De’Longhi Canada lists 2 years for fully automatic machines, with an additional year available through qualifying product registration. Keep your proof of purchase.
9. Is the Magnifica Evo good for a first superautomatic?
Yes. It is one of the simpler ways to get automatic espresso and milk drinks because the control panel is direct and the recipe list is intentionally smaller than on higher-end models.
10. Can I use decaf without emptying the bean hopper?
Yes, for occasional decaf. Leave regular beans in the hopper and use the pre-ground chute for a single decaf preparation.
11. Why is my coffee weaker than expected?
Increase aroma/strength first and reduce the programmed water volume if needed. Only then consider a slightly finer grinder setting, adjusted one step at a time while the grinder is running.
12. Why is coffee dripping instead of flowing normally?
The grind may be too fine, the brew group may need cleaning, or the coffee outlets may be partially blocked. Move only one grinder step coarser while grinding and clean the removable components before making more changes.
13. Can I make two espressos at the same time?
Compatible black-coffee recipes can use the two-spout workflow. Automatic milk recipes are prepared one at a time.
14. Are the milk drinks hot enough?
Milk is frothed below boiling temperature to protect texture and flavour. Preheat the cup and use the highest appropriate coffee temperature if you prefer a hotter final drink.
15. Can I put the milk carafe straight into the dishwasher?
The removable milk-system components are designed for thorough cleaning, but disassemble them as directed rather than putting the entire assembled carafe away dirty. Run the CLEAN cycle after use and follow De’Longhi’s dishwasher guidance for the individual parts.
16. Does the grinder need to be adjusted for every new bag of beans?
Not necessarily. Many beans work well at the same setting. Adjust only when taste or flow tells you to—especially after a meaningful change in roast level or bean density.
17. How much cleaning is required after every milk drink?
Use the milk-system cleaning function immediately after the drink. You do not need a full disassembly every time, but the carafe should be periodically taken apart and cleaned thoroughly.
18. Should I avoid oily beans?
Very oily dark roasts can leave more residue in the hopper, grinder and chute. They are not automatically forbidden, but cleaner medium to medium-dark beans are generally easier for long-term automatic-machine maintenance.

Comme quoi les boutiques d’ici sont meilleurs:) La machine Delonghi magnifica evo fonctionne à merveille très facile d’installation et d’utilisation, versatile et je ne me passerais plus du mousseux à lait automatique. J’avais peur qu’elle soit un peu trop bruyante au départ, mais ca ne réveille pas bébé qui dort la pièce d’à côté. Très bon investissement:)
